PORT HURON, MI. — The St. Clair County Community College (SC4) women's bowling team turned in another strong performance on Friday, January 30, finishing second overall at the SC4 Bowling Invite hosted at Port Huron Lanes. The Skippers were led by standout freshman Haylee Hodges, who captured first place individually with the event's top series—her second high‑series title in the first three matches of the 2026 season.
Hodges dominated the lanes with a 591 series, rolling games of 207, 200, and 184 to once again set the pace for the field.
SC4's depth played a key role in securing the team's second‑place finish, with multiple bowlers landing inside the top 10. Mercedes Berube placed 7th with a 464 series (149, 153, 162), while Lana Cooper followed closely behind in 8th, posting a 461 series (190, 156, 115).
Trista Singles added a 13th‑place finish with a 429 series (128, 159, 142), and Madison Hayward rounded out the lineup in 18th with a 367 series (127, 138, 102).
The Skippers finished with a team total of 3,426, powered by baker-game scores of 289, 250, 302, and 273, keeping SC4 in contention throughout the event.
The team now looks ahead to its next match on February 6 at Mid Michigan College.
