Port Huron, Mi. - St. Clair County Community College is pleased to announce Courtney LaBuhn as the new head coach of the Skippers softball program.
A seasoned coach and dedicated leader, LaBuhn brings more than two decades of coaching experience to SC4. Her coaching journey began in the late 1990s with competitive travel teams and continued at Marine City High School, where she built an impressive resume over multiple tenures. She served as the junior varsity coach from 2000 to 2004, 2010 to 2012, and again in 2016. LaBuhn was promoted to assistant varsity coach from 2013 to 2015, and she has led the program as head varsity coach since 2017.
In addition to her coaching career, LaBuhn is a proud alumnus of Madonna University, where she played collegiate softball and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 1999.
"Coach LaBuhn's deep-rooted passion for the game, commitment to player development, and proven leadership make her a tremendous asset to our athletic department," said Dale Vos, SC4 Athletic Director. "We are excited to welcome her to the Skippers family and look forward to the future of our softball program under her direction."
Outside of athletics, LaBuhn is also a successful business leader. She currently serves as the president and co-owner of Marine City Nursery Co.
LaBuhn's blend of coaching expertise, collegiate playing experience, and community involvement makes the perfect fit to elevate SC4 softball both on and off the field.
