MT. PLEASANT, MI. — The St. Clair County Community College (SC4) women's bowling team turned in a strong performance on Friday at the Mid Michigan Bowling Invite, finishing third overall with a combined team score of 3,640.
The Skippers were led by Haylee Hodges, who delivered a standout day on the lanes. Hodges placed 7th individually with a 512 series, posting games of 193, 192, and 127 and establishing herself among the top competitors in the field.
Right behind her was teammate Mercedes Berube, who earned an 8th-place finish with a 483 series (182, 184, 117), contributing valuable points toward the team's overall podium finish.
SC4's balanced roster continued to show depth throughout the lineup:
- Trista Singles — 13th place, 442 series (135, 159, 148)
- Lana Cooper — 15th place, 431 series (193, 116, 122)
- Madison Hayward — 20th place, 401 series (112, 136, 153)
The Skippers also put together a strong set of Baker games, highlighted by scores of 327, 318, 328, and 398, securing their third‑place team finish in a competitive field.
The SC4 women return to competition next week for the MCCAA Championship at Merri-Bowl Lanes in Livonia, MI.
