SC4 Women’s Track Sets School Record, Posts Strong Marks at GVSU Mike Lints Alumni Open

ALLENDALE, MI. — The St. Clair County Community College (SC4) women's track team turned in a strong day of competition on Saturday at the GVSU Mike Lints Alumni Open, highlighted by a new school record in the 4x400-meter relay and several impressive individual performances across sprint, mid‑distance, and distance events.

Freshman Elaina Stadelbauer continued to build momentum in the sprints, placing 36th in the 60 meters (9.46) and 31st in the 200 meters (32.26) while competing in deep fields packed with NCAA and NAIA athletes.

In the 400 meters, SC4 saw a pair of solid efforts as Julia Rogers placed 52nd (1:07.48) and Lauren Fowler finished 58th (1:09.73).

The 800 meters showcased impressive depth for the Skippers, with Kate Bennett leading the group in 31st place (2:32.12). She was followed closely by teammates Julia Rogers in 40th (2:42.07) and Lauren Fowler in 41st (2:42.26).

One of the top results of the day came from distance standout Brynn Hurley, who placed 8th overall in the 5,000 meters with a time of 19:28.14, securing one of SC4's highest finishes of the meet.

The highlight of the afternoon came in the final women's event, where the Skippers' 4x400-meter relay team—consisting of Fowler, Bennett, Stadelbauer, and Rogers—delivered a program‑best performance. Their time of 4:37.0 earned them 10th place and established a new SC4 school record, capping the meet on a high note.

The Skippers continue to show strong progression as they move further into the indoor season, with multiple athletes setting personal bests and the team establishing new program benchmarks.
