PORT HURON, Mich. — St. Clair County Community College (SC4) volleyball standout Riley Robertson has been named the MCCAA Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Week, following a dominant stretch of performances that helped lead the Skippers to a conference championship.
Robertson recorded an impressive 55 digs over three matches, averaging 4.58 digs per set, including a clutch 19 digs in the MCCAA Championship Game. Her defensive consistency and court awareness were key in SC4's title run, and she committed just two service errors across all three matches, showcasing her reliability in all phases of the game.
"Riley's defensive effort was nothing short of elite," said SC4 Head Coach Michelle McCulloch. "She stepped up in the biggest moments and helped set the tone for our team's success."
This recognition adds to the growing list of accolades for SC4's volleyball program, which continues to build momentum as they head to Grand Rapids, MI for the Great Lakes District A Championship.
