Port Huron, Mich. — The St. Clair County Community College (SC4) women's volleyball team has made history once again, claiming the Great Lakes District A Championship in dominant fashion and earning a coveted spot in the NJCAA Division II National Championship Tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Hosted by Grand Rapids Community College, the tournament saw SC4 go a perfect 4-0, winning all 12 sets played. The Skippers showcased their depth, resilience, and championship mentality throughout the weekend, never dropping a single set.
Riley Robertson was named Tournament MVP, leading the team with poise and power. Joining her on the All-Tournament Team were standouts Brooklynn Haack, Breanna Gentner, and Addison Bolen, whose consistent performances were instrumental in SC4's flawless run.
This marks SC4's first trip to the national tournament since 2004, when the Skippers captured the national title. The return to the national stage is a testament to the program's resurgence and the dedication of its athletes and coaching staff.
"We're incredibly proud of this team," said Head Coach Michelle McCulloch. "They've worked hard all season, and to win the district championship without dropping a set shows just how focused and united they are. We're excited to represent SC4 on the national stage."
The NJCAA Division II National Championship will be held November 20–22 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where SC4 will compete against the top teams from across the country.
