PORT HURON, MI. — The SC4 men's basketball team is starting the 2025-26 season with national attention, earning the No. 20 spot in the NJCAA Division II preseason poll.
This marks a strong statement for the Skippers as they prepare to build on last season's momentum and compete among the top programs in the country. With a deep roster and a renewed focus, SC4 is poised to make a run at both the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) title and a berth in the NJCAA Region 12 Tournament.
"We're proud to be recognized in the preseason rankings," said Head Coach Richard Field. "It's a reflection of the work our players have put in and the culture we're building. We're excited to get on the court and prove ourselves."
The Skippers open their season on the road at Lakeland Community College on Saturday, November 1 at 1 p.m.
