Livonia, MI. — St. Clair County Community College men's basketball closed out its regular season in dramatic fashion Tuesday night, earning a hard-fought 66–64 road victory over #11 ranked Schoolcraft College. The win improves the Skippers to 17–12 overall and 8–6 in MCCAA Eastern Conference play, giving the team strong momentum heading into next week's postseason tournament.

The Skippers entered the night facing a Schoolcraft squad boasting a 22–6 record, and the game lived up to its high-stakes billing. SC4 and Schoolcraft were tied 31–31 at halftime before the Skippers edged ahead with a disciplined second half, shooting 45.5% from the field after the break.

The Skipper's balanced attack gave the Schoolcraft defense fits with 4 players scoring double figures.

Defensively, SC4 held Schoolcraft to 32.8% shooting in the second half, including just 21.7% from beyond the arc for the game.

With the regular season wrapped, SC4 now turns its attention to the NJCAA Great Lakes District B Tournament. The Skippers will open postseason play on Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. when they head to Macomb Community College.
