SC4 Men’s Basketball Sails Past Jackson College 106–78 Behind Elite Shooting Performance

Jackson, MI. — St. Clair County Community College men's basketball delivered one of its strongest offensive performances of the season on Saturday, January 17, powering past Jackson College 106–78 on the road. The Skippers shot a blistering 56.3% from the field and 44.4% from three, using a 51-point first half to seize control and never look back.

Five Skippers scored in double figures, showcasing the team's depth and balance.

Game Leaders

  • Kevin Tiggs led the way with 21 points, shooting 9-for-12 from the field.
  • Chris McLavish was electric with 17 points, knocking down five triples, grabbing 6 rebounds, and dishing out 14 assists for a double-double.
  • Riley Hunt continued his strong play with 15 points, and 7 assists.
  • De'Andre Terrell provided a major spark with 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds for the Skippers second double-double.
  • Wasir James contributed 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks off the bench.

SC4 moved the ball with precision all night, dishing out an impressive 39 assists and out-rebounding the Jets 48–28.

Defensively, the Skippers forced the Jets into tough shots, holding them to 43.2% shooting and just 13.6% from beyond the arc.

With the victory, SC4 continues to build momentum in conference play, showing dominance on both ends of the floor and highlighting the team's growing chemistry.

The Skippers return to action later this week as they travel to Macomb CC on Wednesday but host Wayne County CC on Saturday, January 24 at 3:00 PM.
