Port Huron, MI — The St. Clair County Community College (SC4) Skippers men's basketball team earned an impressive 94-83 victory over Kalamazoo Valley Community College last night, showcasing a balanced offensive attack and strong rebounding effort.
Five Skippers scored in double figures, led by Chris McLavish with 23 points and Donovan Thames adding 20. Tyler Dorsey delivered a dominant performance on the boards, pulling down 15 rebounds to go along with his 12 points. The team's depth and unselfish play were on full display as SC4 controlled the pace and maintained their lead throughout the contest.
"This was a great team win," said Head Coach Richard Field. "We had multiple guys step up and contribute, and our energy on both ends of the floor made the difference."
With the victory, SC4 improves to 6-5 on the season. The Skippers will look to keep the momentum going when they return home to face Edison State on Wednesday, December 17 at 4:00 p.m. at the SC4 Fieldhouse.
