Port Huron, MI. — The St. Clair County Community College (SC4) women's basketball program capped an impressive season with multiple players earning prestigious postseason accolades across the Eastern Conference, MCCAA, and NJCAA Region levels.
Freshman standouts Kyrieona Carter and Myana Cooksey led the charge with major awards, while Iliana Williams and Sylver Bowles also received conference recognition for their outstanding play throughout the year.
Kyrieona Carter delivered one of the most dominant rookie campaigns in program history, earning:
· 1st Team All-Eastern Conference
· Eastern Conference All-Freshman Team
· Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Year
· All-MCCAA
· All-Region
Carter's two-way impact was felt every night, averaging 13.8 points on 51.2% shooting, 13.2 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 2.1 blocks.
Fellow freshman Myana Cooksey joined Carter among the league's elite, receiving:
· 1st Team All-Eastern Conference
· Eastern Conference All-Freshman Team
· All-MCCAA
· All-Region
Cooksey's consistency, scoring ability, and competitiveness made her one of the conference's most respected first-year players.
Sophomore guard Iliana Williams earned 2nd Team All-Eastern Conference honors, recognizing her leadership, versatility, and steady production throughout the season.
Sophomore forward Sylver Bowles showcased her defensive presence and toughness, claiming a spot on the 3rd Team All-Conference and Eastern Conference All-Defensive team.
